There are two types of membership opportunities available, see below for details.
See our Senior Center Directory to View Senior Centers who hold Membership or to join!
Senior Center MembershipSenior Center Membership is available to any organization established and operating in Michigan that is widely recognized as a Senior Center based on its physical structure and programming. Membership is held by the senior center itself, not by individual employees.
Member organizations can designate multiple representatives at no additional cost. Active employees from the organization may serve as officers, members-at-large, or committee members, including as chairpersons. Each senior center membership includes one vote. The cost for a senior center membership is $75 per year. For multi-center organizations, the fee is $75 plus $10 for each additional center. The membership year runs from July to June. |
Affiliated Organization MembershipAffiliate Membership is available to any organization or commercial firm that is connected to senior centers or has demonstrated a genuine interest in the senior center field.
While affiliate members do not have voting rights or the ability to serve on committees, this membership provides valuable opportunities to connect with senior center professionals, support their mission, and stay informed on industry trends. The cost for an Affiliate Membership is just $150 per year—an excellent way to engage with and support the senior center community! |
